Double female 1/4 jack to jack speaker cable connector?

Not even sure if this exists or that I have described it properly.

Following my belt and braces approach, should my Markbass combo fail, I am after something I can use to connect the speaker lead from the spare amp I take to the cab in the combo. The existing MB lead won't stretch far enough.

Anyone know if it is possible to get a double female/female connector? I did a bit of Googling but am not entirely sure what to look for :)

Ta!

That is a good tip - thank you. I have ordered one now. If all goes to plan I won't actually have to use it as it is a 'get out of jail' thing. I'll find out soon enough.

thanks all!

Edit - I already have a couple of A/B/Y boxes - would they have done the job?

It should work but I'd be wary that the wiring might not be up to the job of transmitting high voltage speaker signals vs the low voltage line signals it was likely designed for. The couplers above should have solid metal connections that would be able to take anything you could throw at them!

Any such connectors I've had have always been a bit cheap and untrustworthy.

This sounds like a job for OBBM and his Rock Wire service http://bassic-bits.co.uk to make a longer lead or an extension lead with good quality bits.

Alternatively, Cleartone Cables by Award Session do similarly made custom odd cables...
