Utilising their perfect recipe for the classic J bass and now with a slimmer body and neck. The usual high end components are on board with a new Xotic 3 band preamp. Weight: 8lb 10oz/3.8kg[/font][/color]

This is the same as mine (albeit different paint job and fingerboard wood) and I love it.
Someone grab a bargain, these Lightweight XJs are lovely!

This is a fantastic bass, extremely playable with great feel. Being sold by a top guy too, just been looking around to see what I could sell to get this - unfortunately the Mrs doesn't want to sit on the floor with no TV and I'm sure my magic beans are of no interest, so someone's in for a treat.

Hi mate, i have actually taken it to the bass gallery in camden , (so not far for you ) last week as a couple of people wanted to look at it so it's there if you want to go and try it out

Hi, i don't think there is, it's a new pre amp they have put in on the lights, can't seem to find too much about it. It is very similar to the older one but without the mid switches installed

I contacted Xotic to ask about the missing freq selector switches on the lightweight and they said they could add them if requested (when ordering new). Which suggests that there might be some way of retrofitting the freq switches with help from Xotic tech support if required.
