drTStingray Posted June 2, 2016 Posted June 2, 2016 (edited) These look rather nice - I'm now even more gassed up!! Love that unmarked ebony board and roasted figured maple neck. http://www.music-man.com/pdn/starry-night Edited June 2, 2016 by drTStingray Quote
dannybuoy Posted June 2, 2016 Posted June 2, 2016 Any idea if those Rays can be ordered with the SLO neck? Quote
drTStingray Posted June 2, 2016 Author Posted June 2, 2016 The SLO special neck was an option on standard Stingrays (not the Classic version) - not sure if it's been discontinued generally. However this PDN appears to be available on all bass models except the Stingray 40th and Gamechanger bass. So if the SLO special neck is still available as a Stingray option, then it should be available for this. Quote
Musicman20 Posted June 3, 2016 Posted June 3, 2016 Nice. Not something I'd go for personally, but it's great to see a new PDN. I bet it looks amazing on a Bongo. Quote
Musicman20 Posted June 3, 2016 Posted June 3, 2016 Is it me or are those upcharges very reasonable in the USA? Quote
Graham Posted June 3, 2016 Posted June 3, 2016 There might be a very good reason for it, but the string alignment over the pickup pole-pieces looks way off in this photo Might just be the angle, but not the picture I'd choose to market my new instrument Quote
djaxup Posted June 9, 2016 Posted June 9, 2016 (edited) Love the finish, the neck, the fretboard! Hate the fret material. I use stainless steel strings, and those sound abrasive with stainless steel frets. Totally not my cup of tea. Bummer. Edited June 9, 2016 by djaxup Quote
Musicman20 Posted June 9, 2016 Posted June 9, 2016 You could try some of their new cobalt flats! Quote
