HOW DID ROJAS GET THIS BASS SOUND - I WANT IT NOW!!!! :) SUCH A GROWLING BARKING TYPE OF SOUND - BRILLIANT- I WILL DIE HAPPY! WHAT GEAR IS IT OR WAS IT ALL DI'D? - ANY IDEAS? THANKS IN ADVANCE

WHAT IS ON THE MARKET TO EMULATE I HAVE TRIED THE BASS POD BUT DONT RATE IT?

I HAVE AN '84 PRECISION THROUGH AN AMPEG BA11ST WITH A BEHRINGER BDI21 AT THE MOMENT.THINKING OF TRYING SANSAMP OR A BOSS ME50B.

it's either a Spector NS2 (with PJ pickups) or a Fender P also with PJ setup, as that's what he was playing in pictures & videos (see the vid for "Modern love") around that time.

play with a pick, steel roundwounds, both pickups on favouring the neck pickup slightly, maybe boost a bit of 2K if needed.

Sorry to be cynical but what people endorse in adverts and play on stage (and the video!) and what they play in the studio may not always be the same :)

I'm pretty certain he played an NS-2 on the album - something I read in an interview with him a long time ago.
On the Serious Moonlight tour DVD re-released a while ago he was playing that black ESP.

if you look closely at the ad it says "hear CR play an ESP - on tour with David Bowie and on the let's dance album".
still could be endorsement deal lies though....
