Basszilla
Hi guys, Does anyone know for a good product that would dampen vibrations / isolate my amp from my cab? I have a very heavy and large matamp gt200 and want to isolate it to extend valve life etc. I've just upgraded my kt88s to kt120, larger power valves. I'm looking for something that I can place on top of my cab and I really can't be bothered to make one 😃 Edit: Something I could order to size would be a ideal. Cheers Tim Edited June 10, 2016 by Basszilla

naxos10
Hi Tim try sorbothane feet available for various weights using 4 feet per unit. Foculpods are popular but you can get alternatives on evilbay. An alternative would be sobohane sheet.
Basszilla
Cheers both, yeah I think a thick sorbathane sheet would do the trick. Will have to source some and get it cut to size. Thanks
chevy-stu
I just used to have a 3 inch sheet of dense flight case foam stuff the bottom of my amp flight case,.
Passinwind
I did some beta testing for this guy: http://www.tecpadz.com/ I've only tried the basic version, but I've used Sorbothane in my old day job and would definitely recommend that version. In fact, I was one of the people who originally recommended it to the TecPadz guy.
Dad3353
This is our solution; the flight case is lined with shock-resistant foam. Gig over, and cooled down, we just slip the case top back on, turn the butterfly latches and away it's under the blue 'bits' box... Basszilla
I thought you meant my amp, reread it and then clicked. Decided I'd leave it unedited to get your cogs turning 😂
amnesia
My VBA lives in a flight case sleeve all the time, so it has some anti-vibration protection provided by the internal foam. Between the flightcase and cabinet I have a sheet of dense pedalboard type foam - mainly to stop the metal frame of my flightcase trashing the cabinet, but it gives me another layer of vibration reduction. Nothing posh, but it seems to do the job.
