thebassist Posted June 16, 2016 Posted June 16, 2016 (edited) I recently acquired this beautiful Fodera in a part exchange trade deal but I'm pretty much only playing 6-string nowadays. This is a Fodera Monarch New Standard made in 2004 and verified by the folks at Fodera. It's a bolt-on mahogany body, birch top, three piece maple neck, rosewood fingerboard, angled headstock, EMG P/J pickup configuration and two band EQ with the volume working as an active/passive switch. The bass is in very good condition with only a slight ding on the upper part of the body that is very hard to spot and can't really be photographed all that easily. The neck is perfectly straight and can be adjusted to a very low action as desired. The frets are in very good condition and well levelled. The bass weighs approximately 8.8 pounds (4 kilos). The bass comes in a generic hard case with the truss rod tool and Dunlop Straplocks. I'm based in Bournemouth, Dorset. I would consider a trade for a 6-string Fodera or a 6-string Ken Smith with cash adjustment. I'm not looking for any other trades at all. thebassist Posted June 16, 2016 Author Posted June 16, 2016
Nice. Love the black and gold headstock. I bet it plays beautifully. That's a heck of a bass for the money. GLWTS.
Cheers - yes you can get a real Wooten sound out of it. If I was playing 4s I'd definitely keep it.
Truckstop Posted June 16, 2016 Posted June 16, 2016 My realistic dream bass is a Yamaha 2024x, this Fodera is my unrealistic dream bass! The best PJ out there.
GuyR Posted June 30, 2016 Posted June 30, 2016 I tried this bass last Sunday when I was picking up Adam's Jazz bass. It's a great bass - so easy to play, so difficult to put down. He's a very pleasant and straightforward guy. Bass and seller highly recommended.
thebassist Posted June 30, 2016 Author Posted June 30, 2016 (edited) Thanks Guy - much appreciated. Hope you're enjoying the Jazz mate. Edited June 30, 2016 by thebassist
