Westenra
I absolutely love my jag bass, but I'm not a big percision fan so I'm looking into making her into a Jazz bass, much like the deluxe version but without all the extra bits. I've got access to CNCs, a spray room, laser cutters, etc so I've got all the tools but just want to know if it's as easy as I think; Place a jazz pup into the percision location and cut myself out a new scratch plate. Is it really that straight forward or have I completely missed the ball here?
LewisK1975
Sound like you've got it to me. You'll obviously have to remove some body wood too as the jazz pickup won't fit into the precision pickup body rout. Well, unless you put it in at an angle.. Westenra
Also just looked up those Sx Ursa basses and they do jaguar bodies with jazz pickup slots, and it comes in white with the red tortoise shell pick guard. Think I'm onto a winner here!
