Pearl White SB301 now sold
The orange sunburst SB310 I have modified with gold harware. Grover gold tuners and Gotoh gold bridge.
Just bought the see through brown SB330 and the Five string SB315

This link you have posted is just a discussion about the origins of the SGC Nanyo and not people posting their
pride and joy. :(

I've heard so many good things about these, it's a shame I don't get on wth them. I should move my SB301 on; it doesn't get played. (It's one without a Made in Japan label; I gather that these are probably the pre-production from BC setting up the move to Korea.)

Yes it is. Read it properly. It's currently 13 pages long. :)

I have read it. Very informative. But not many members posting pics of their basses, That's why I thought
I'd start this thread under GEAR PORN so we could all see some nice examples. ;)

I think all mine are in the backwaters thread, can't see the point of posting again. I wouldn't say they're all nice examples either, my 465 in particular is a hard working bass with many scars but it has seen off several much more expensive replacements.

Here's mine. It's one of the nicest I've seen.

There's been a few changes since I bought it: thinner frets (not sure that was a good idea!) and a Bartolini pickup replacing the bridge pickup. It's a lovely, lightweight bass with a great squashy attack to it.

The most annoying thing is the position of the jack input which means you can't stand it up against a wall and even some stands don't accommodate it well with a lead inserted.

That's a belter. Classy looking bass. Like the Bart in the bridge position. ;-)

Here's mine, a Japanese 1991 5 string. Unsure of the model and it's been suggested it has received a new pre-amp because of its push/pull active/passive controls. Lightest bass I've ever owned and maybe the most modern sounding, (or perhaps that was an active Status Shark I used to own). My first 5 string and its been relatively easy to fumble with. Not sure I'm bonding with it though. Not the guitars fault. Its just that I think I miss my simple passive Fender too much.

I had three at one time - now down to one - I really need to take some new pics...

IMO probably the best VFM Bass out there..

Back to three again - still have the wine coloured 310, now also have silver grey fretless which plays and sounds fantastic and a grey/purple fretted 4 string with crappy old strings which, for some strange reason, give it a lovely tone. Considering the price you can pick these up for, everybody should have at least one.

I've now get TheGreek's grey/purple fretted (but with new strings :P) and it's had new pickups and a loom from KiOgon and it is my favourite bass ever - the first one I pick up and the one I look forward to playing.

And, alcytes, if you want to sell your SB301, please give me a shout!!

Replaced with a 5 string iridescent Ivory Pearl - I wasn't a fan of 5ers till I acquired this - the neck is sooo nice...

Photos to follow.

Here's my SB321 recently acquired from HappyJack.

Was by no means abused, but it did need some fettling to get it up to scratch.

Since Pinball's pics above, I have bought that bass off him taking my total to three now.

Here's a couple of pics of the 321 & 335 posing together!
