miles'tone
Has anyone taken the pickguard off theirs yet? Any router channelling under there or is it clean so you could leave it guardless?

But it has a 'road' stamp on it and a drilled hole, so would need some work if you wanted it bare.

maldy
How does this Flea bass compare with the Fender RW Jazz physically? I had the RW Jazz, loved it, but couldn't quite get on with the neck shape feel. Have any of you new owners tried both? I'd be interested to know any thoughts. Musicman20
I've only briefly tried the RW Jazz, but I tend to prefer a slightly fatter wider neck despite having small hands. I learnt on a P bass so a Jazz nut can cramp my hands sometimes. This bass doesn't feel like it has a super skinny neck to me.

I would say that is my preference too. It's taken a few years of buying and selling to figure this out!

maldy
I was very interested in the bass when I first discovered it (only a few days ago), but reading this thread has sealed my fate! For all the reasons discussed I think this is a good bass to buy now. Too good a deal in fact!

King Tut
Oiled mine. Lovely figured board. The wood that's visible on the worn bits of body looks quite highly figured too.
