All I can say is the ones on my RW jazz are fine, no worse or better than my US version

EBS_freak
I'm sure I've seen something very like that before - original L1000? Probably a good sight cheaper as well and with a better bridge. Musicman basses never look quite right without a piguard to me!
L1500 for the pickup to be in the right position - but yeah, get your drift.
Kev
To confirm, yep, the spec referred to above does say it is nitro. I don't usually get that excited over another P or J, but the colour, fact it comes with what I'd spec (rosewood/tort), the fact it's modelled after a bass and not just dinged for the fun of it, the pickups, and those stacked knobs....all for under £900??! The normal roadworns are more expensive?! None of this makes sense. I have a feeling this will be a good seller. I also think I may break down and buy a bass after a few years off.
I know, its crazy. I'm so tempted by one of these its, well, stupid.

bartelby
As much as I don't like relic'd stuff, nor much of a Flea fan, I do like this bass...
karlfer
I lived in Scotland for a lot of years (Bannockburn, I was the English Unpopular Front) and Kenny's was pretty damn good. Think they have about 4 shops now. But yes, they came up as pre order available on a search. EDIT. And they no longer have 3 available for pre order, just 2, Edited June 29, 2016 by karlfer
MattM
Kennys Music evolved from the old Sound Control stores - think Kenny was an old employee, so they're very well established. I actually bought my first bass - Westone Thunder 1A - from Sound Control in Glasgow way back in 1985. Back on point, the Flea sig does look decent - love a pale finished relic and this appears to be insanely well priced for what if offers. Just know a 2EQ Ray will sound better for Flea stuff tho'....😉

Dood
I don't really get signatures like this. As stated, the MM pickup would make more sense for a Flea signature.... but hey, what do I know? If the stacked pot thing is the selling point, surely you could just get any jazz and stick a new stacked pot loom in? karlfer
OK, me personally; I was gutted with the dink on my Adam Clayton, BUT, this Flea job. Boxes ticked; a colour I like good pick ups Jazz bass stack knobs good price (comparatively) road worn (so it doesn't matter when it gets dropped or is used to beat the drummers head to keep time) ime higher end Mex's in general are very good So it's not really anything to do with Flea, it's just a good sum of parts for me. So, my own reasons

police squad
we'll await the pictures and your report Karl. They look great and my Steve Harris bass is lovely (even if it is the 2nd one I've had.
