You'll notice that even with the tone rolled off the bass still has a lot of edge in the sound. It often sounds like a cross between a PBass and a Stingray or Rick. 1987 Peavey Patriot Made in the USA, Quality bass with a biting rickenbacker / musicman like tone from the mid position single super-ferrite pickup. Mahogany Body - Maple Neck. These are becoming rare and sought after instruments, especially in the UK. Imported from the USA in 2015 - It has since been fully professionally set up . As you may know these basses are made with a two piece neck, and due to age this one had started to move a little - it has been removed, glued and set up. All sorted now by the Tech. The pick guard has buckled (again due to age), but is in one piece (quite rare!). Neck is narrow and super fast and easy to get around on. Pots are a bit scratchy but work fine. Quote
