discreet
The original rock guitarist. RIP.
Cat Burrito
I studied Scotty's playing in detail when I moved onto guitar. He is the original and the one who inspired everybody's favourite player. I have his autographed picture in my bedroom and I think today a little bit of rock 'n' roll history died.
paddy109
Those early recordings with Scotty, Bill and Elvis - Oh my! Goosebumps every time.
GarethFlatlands
Real shame, I was never an Elvis fan but I remember seeing a video of them playing live and being blown away by Scotty's guitar playing. Seems an appropriate time to go an learn some of his lines.
casapete
I actually had the privilege of meeting Scotty at a guitar show in Dallas in the early 90's. He was on a stand with nobody talking to him, just couldn't believe a real life legend was being overlooked . Stood and chatted with him for a long while, and found him a great man who was so modest about his part in the birth of rock n roll. One of the absolute key players in popular music, sadly missed. RIP.
