LeftyJ Posted July 5, 2018 Posted July 5, 2018 S8***** serial numbers were used as late as 1983. I suspect Fender produced a large run of lefty necks in 78 and just kept them on the shelf to be paired with a body later. The same thing is common with Strats, you can find a ton of 1978 models. Quote
