Yes, the Classic 70s model. I must say this range of Fender MIMs are much better than the standards. Nicely finished bass.

Blocked and bound neck. Very funky.

I tried a Geddy Lee in the shop.......... what a neck!!!!! Possible too thin for me even. Lovely bass though. You got rid of yours I recall, OTPJ?

Played one of these in my local shop the other day in Sunburst and it was really lovely. Much nicer than the MIA P they had in.
Your one is in a better colour though IMO. I'd stick a black plate on too, lush.

Yes, I traded my Geddy for an American S1 Jazz which was far superior. The Geddy was a lovely bass apart from the pathetically weak output & the fact that the neck would change shape with the slightest weather change. I did have 35-90 strings on it, though!

I didn't get chance to say that your bass looks really nice, especially with the block binding & the bullet trussrod. Looking forward to trying one of those, but I'm thinking along the lines of an American Standard jazz for myself, or maybe another S1 jazz.

Rich.

+1 on them doing one with a maple neck.....

Very interested in trying one of these though regardless! Congrats on a lovely bass :)
