TAzMilitello
Hi my friends, I have a Line 6 Helix. Its preamp works too well, but I need to get out in 2 stereo active speakers for bass with integrated power amplifier. Does anyone have experience obout this type of cabinets!? Yesterday I tried this Red Sounds, awesome, even if there is no tweeter, less bright sound than it should but low and high frequencies are all also very natural.. I have also noticed on web about Phil Jones PB-300, someone has tried it, knows it!? I know they have the aluminum speakers heavily loaded medium frequencies. Or this Barefaced FR800!? Forge Active Speaker (maybe "AXB...")!? Thank you. Good music. Good day. A hug from Sicily. 7:iziano Edited July 5, 2016 by TAzMilitello
Bigwan
My initial thought was the barefaced one you mentioned. Owen has a Bergantino IP112 for sale at the minute which would fit the bill too.

No lust in Jazz
Hello I currently use 2 Phil Jones PB-300 cabs (one will do) - small footprint / lightweight / punchy / will sit on the rear seat of a Golf..... I feed them with either PJ Bass buddy or an EBS Micro bass II - They sound clean and will take dirt pedals. Note: They don't have Aluminium speakers and I'm not sure what you mean about heavily loaded medium frequencies either. Dan Dare
There's a PB300 for sale on the 'Bay as we speak. A separate power amp and bass cab will give you far more options, mind.
Uh! Sure...you're right but I was looking for the convenience of active speakers to not even put next to each other to be connected to the stereo output. And for convenience of transport I prefer 2 speakers with integrated power amp.

They seem aluminum speakers with that sound slightly midrangey, but the level of high and low frequencies? You do not need to warn tweeter? Low freq are present? Thanks man! But GK powered cabs are not suitable for connection to the preamp, but only as a chain combo. In fact they do not have adjustable volume. Musicman20
I actually think in your scenario that the Barefaced powered cab might be suitable.
No lust in Jazz
Hello The PB-300s that I own do not have aluminium speakers. I don't find them mid-rangey - I use a 5 string Xotic-XP though them without issues. You can hook them up to preamps - I also own a Phil Jones Combo and use the PB-300 as an extension cab, this too is a good combination

Dan Dare
No Lust in Jazz There are few active cabs around. So a separate cab+power amp must give you more choice.

EBS_freak
A couple of decent full range PA cabs sounds like where you want to be. RCF 745 is my current fave rave.

I have a pair of RCF 745s and they are astoundingly good and would be more versatile than powered bass cabs (except the barefaced ones which work well as PA cabs I believe). No lust in Jazz
I have to say I was going to buy a full range powered PA cab - but a PB-300 came up second hand
