Dazed
I seem to recall there was a "triangular scam" victim that posted on here a while back. I think it was a gumtree or ebay transaction.
4stringslow
Hmmmmmm. Sounds like the scammer would need to strike pretty lucky with precise amounts and dates for this to actually work. I reckon that's another attempt by the Daily Mail or the Daily Express to wind up their gullible readers. Does the scam involve immigrants or house prices?
I read about it on a legal forum. That's no proof that it's not a wind-up of course, but I could certainly imagine it working. Edited July 21, 2016 by 4stringslow

funkgod
I got this one today in reply to a bass i have on gumtree, his first contact was a tx to my phone number... "do you still have the musical instruments? pls email me at amykane2200 (at) gmail.com" i replyed knowing it was a con with, "Yea which ones i have a nord stage keyboard and guitars and amps " Even tho i had not these items on gumtree ! Reply was....... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Thanks for your response,i want all please. I want you to consider this a deal as i am willing to pay your full asking price! i actually want to buy them for a family member who is urgently in need of them, i have checked through your posting and i'm fully satisfied with them. Unfortunately, i would not be able to come personally to view/collect, i work offshore as an instructor on a oil rig so i don't have time at all, but like i said i am 100% OK with the advert. However, I will pay you via PayPal once you are ready and send my courier agent to collect after you have fully received your money via PayPal as that is the only means of payment available to me at the moment. I would also appreciate if you could remove the advert asap. I will contact the courier agent now so please get back to me with a suitable collection time. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I know the scam, been there loads of times, but Im half tempted to go along with it just to see who he sends round to collect, Beware.... his/her name is Amy Kane Edited August 4, 2016 by funkgod
