HARLEY BENTON JAZZ BASS 75 RE, NEW **SOLD***
£89

This is a new unused HB Jazz bass. Never been played. Bought on a whim and needs to go as my back won't play ball.
Weighs in at around 10 lbs but it sounds very good. Still has the cellophane on the pickups.

These are now about £124 delivered now so this is good value for £85 delivered

This is a lot of bass for 89 quid delivered! No interest at all. Might just strip it for parts :(

I have one like this, it's suprisingly good for the money. Swap the pickups, fix the fretwork and this is seriously good as a backup.

Fretwork isn't terrible, also has Wilkinson pickups. I think it's great, just too heavy for me. But there again most things are too heavy for me these days.
I have some great basses but I'm having to sell them all.

I have this exact one! You're right... it's on the heavier side of things but not too bad.

It plays really well! It's been my 'go to' bass for the past few months!

I doubt you can get a better bass for less than a tonne!

Honestly... if this was even slightly different to the one i have already I'd be snapping it up. Slightly pointless having two identical basses.... can't beleive noones taking this.

What FB page you looking at Shabbs ?

Only thing listed for sale on the "Harley Benton Guitars" page is Toms' bass, no for sale ads on the "Everything Thomann" page.

Nope don't see any mention of dekos on that link Shabbs.

Just a link to Toms' post here.

Edit

Was a bit paranoid I'd somehow marked Toms' bass as a deko but here's my post.

There's a JB-75 swamp ash bass for sale on Basschat. It's in England and the £89 includes UK delivery. I've dealt with Tom (the seller) in the past and he's an honest fella who looks after his gear, the JB-75 is just too heavy for him @10lbs. Here's the link

Absolute steal. Unfortunately I have too many basses already

I so nearly bought one of these new before I saw reviews stating the weight, though seeing this bargain now makes me tempted again. But I have to remind myself that with a dodgy shoulder I struggle with my 9.9lb Harley Benton Les Paul alike guitar, so despite liking the sound and the look it rarely gets played. I fear this bass would suffer the same fate with me and end up wasted on my wall. Have a free bump, I'm hoping that somebody takes this off your hands soon to stop me umming and ahhing.
