Geek99
can anyone recommend one ? Doesn't have to be amazingly loud but quite light would be good - sub £50 please
ambient
The only one I've tried is the Phil Jones double 4, which is unfortunately out of your price range. Highly recommended though.
Shambo
There's the Roland Micro Bass Cube which runs off battery. Might be able to find a second hand one but probably not for £50.
SubsonicSimpleton
There are battery powered PA speakers available at reasonable money by manufacturer Qtx if you want to busk or play with others, if you want to practice then a zoom B1on can be had for less than £50, but you'll need to use headphones. Mottlefeeder
For £50 you could buy a reasonable sized 12 volt battery and an invertor to run a mains amp from that battery. Alternatively, you could buy a S/H car stereo amp on ebay and use that with your existing speakers (Before any of the nay-sayers start, major brand name car amplifier manufacturers have been building class AB ampliifiers powered by switch-mode power supplies for several years - many stereo 60w into 4 ohms per channel amplifiers can be bridged to provide about 150W into 4 ohms). Off the shelf battery powered bass systems are likely to be out of your budget. David
