isteen
I own the original Darkglass Vintage Microtubes, and I would hate to fork out the extra cash to get the "grunt" effect in their Deluxe version of the pedal. Anyone know how to get something like that - a shourtcut or a cheap pedal to give the tone that edge?
dannybuoy
An eq pedal before the pedal will do the trick - dial in a boost in the high mids to replicate the boost feaure, or a bass boost to replicate the grunt. That EQ boost would come through the clean side too though, when in the actual DG pedal that boost is strictly operating on the dirt side. Kev
[quote name='isteen' timestamp='1468403467' post='3090652'] I own the original Darkglass Vintage Microtubes, and I would hate to fork out the extra cash to get the "grunt" effect in their Deluxe version of the pedal. The Deluxe is so much more than just the grunt control, try one and see what you think. For me, it's worth the extra bit of cash every time.
