crippsy42 Posted July 13, 2016 Posted July 13, 2016 I've been following you all for a while and enjoying it but have only just joined. Started playing at 16 (I'm now 50+) - playing on and off through the years - as time and commitments allow but, as a friend put it bluntly to me the other month - I've stopped being a bass player and am now just a bass owner.... Even that's not for long, as I'm selling my 1980 Fender Jazz - it's for sale on the site. Need to think about what's next.... In the meantime I'll keep on reading your posts and dreaming... Quote
discreet Posted July 13, 2016 Posted July 13, 2016 So you joined a bass forum just as you gave up playing bass? ...I suppose it's better than joining a bass forum and then find you're spending so much time on the forum that you're not playing much bass... Quote
Trueno Posted July 13, 2016 Posted July 13, 2016 Once a bass player, always a bass player. I joined this forum to sell one of my two remaining basses... now I've decided to keep both and planning out my practice time again. Quote
naxos10 Posted July 13, 2016 Posted July 13, 2016 Welcome Crippsy, I'm sure your ideas will come to fruition with the help of fellow chatters. Quote
Trueno Posted July 13, 2016 Posted July 13, 2016 ... and don't start looking at all the basses for sale! Quote
baldwinbass Posted July 14, 2016 Posted July 14, 2016 Hi - don't sell the bass, years of regret will follow. Nothing wrong with dreaming - I'm 50+ and just starting to play Quote
