joeystrange Posted July 14, 2016 Posted July 14, 2016 Anyone local(ish) to Nottingham may be interested to know this http://www.pmtonline.co.uk/blog/2016/06/07/pmt-nottingham-music-shop-coming-soon/ Quote
KevB Posted July 15, 2016 Posted July 15, 2016 Will give Nottingham Drum & Guitar centre something to worry about. Looks like it is somewhere near Maplins and the Post Office building, bit of a no mans land for parking but there are street spaces a street or two back iirc. Suppose if you buy a heavy cab you just go in tooled up with a trolley. Quote
Geek99 Posted July 15, 2016 Posted July 15, 2016 thanks for the heads-up; that area is a nightmare to park in though. Other side of the road from the shell garage Quote
Musicman20 Posted July 15, 2016 Posted July 15, 2016 (edited) PMT seem to be doing very well, but please sort the website! EDIT - It is better than it used to be! Edited July 15, 2016 by Musicman20 Quote

EDIT - It is better than it used to be!
But it's still crap in comparison to other big companies. It probably looked great when the directors signed it off but it's terrible as an end user. I think GuitarGuitar has the best site around in the UK, Thomann if you include Europe. Quote

joeystrange Posted July 15, 2016 Author Posted July 15, 2016
thanks for the heads-up; that area is a nightmare to park in though. Other side of the road from the shell garage
There's plenty of street parking round the back of the building (assuming this will be the main road side) but not out front. The Drum Centre has been struggling for a while. Last I heard they only had one employee. Although going off the wording in the blog post I wonder if they've taken over/bought them out and moved up the road a bit. Quote
Lightlyseared Posted July 16, 2016 Posted July 16, 2016 I thought at first they had the unit where the vintage clothes warehouse used to be but no, it's at the ground level of Marco Island. There is a pay and display under Marco Island at the rear. Drum & Guitar will certainly be worried, but I don't see much overlap with the other two music shops nearby, Nottingham City Guitars and Hot Rox. Quote
