BassJase
Righty-ho, this is just a bit of a feeler at the moment, but i'm thinking of parting company with my Traben Phoenix 4-string in "Black Shadow" finish. I've had it from new for about 18 months or so, and its only ever been to two rehearsals with me, so its in great condition. No nicks or dings or anything, as the photo's will show. Its a 35" scale, which the company stopped making about a year ago now. (They now make all their 4-strings at 34" scale.) Its got Gotoh tuners and that MASSIVE flame bridge, which sounds great when you string through the body and get sustain that lasts forever. It has the Traben active 3-band EQ, and the only reason i'm thinking of getting rid is because as much as I do really love it, for some elusive reason I just don't play it. I recently got the brass nut filed and it's now fitted with the bottom 4-strings of a 5-string set, so its tuned B/E/A/D. This can obviously be put back to normal, but you'd need to put in a new nut. But hey, thats only a few quid and easy as scratching your bum. It has an Ibanez-style fast neck, and the harmony central reviews all praise it pretty good; http://reviews.harmony-central.com/reviews...ny/Phoenix/10/1 Here's the link to the Traben website and the current model, which is exactly the same except the scale; http://www.trabenbass.com/phoenix.php And here's a few photo's to gawp at..... Like I said i've had it from new, and had the extra pleasure of paying the £110 import shipping and tax on it. I'm not really sure what to ask for it, so i'm more open to trades. I'm after a 5-string or a tasty 4-string, or a half decent fretless would be nice. Possibly open to amps/combo's or whatever, try me for size. Just let me know what ya' got, but if nothing comes up then i'll keep it and look at it every now and then....! Cheers y'all. NOW WITHDRAWN FROM SALE, SORRY TO INTERESTED PARTIES BUT IT'S JUST TOO NICE TO GET RID OF TOO CHEAPLY!! Edited October 5, 2008 by BassJase
Mr. Foxen
Hmm, been after a 35" scale for using our horrible low tuning. Interested in a trade for a Peavey International 5er? Possibly something else also. Where are you based? Also, will it do passive or are they active/really low output pickups?
BassJase
I'm currently based in Enfield, North London, but i'm always going to both Bristol and Norfolk, so anywhere between any of those would be fine for me to possibly deliver. I might be interested in the Peavey, but in all honesty I already have a Peavey International 5-string. The pickups are active, but they're not the highest output i've ever heard, but still waaaay louder than any passive i've heard. Anyone else possibly interested.....? I like mine, except for the 5 stringess, the thin neck makes me happy in its case, whereas I don't get on with the 4 string Peavey skinny necks. Maybe defret it to have a pair?
