This instrument was built especially for me and is the only one of this design- boasting a serial number of MSB5001. It took over 18 months to design and build, took a lot of time to choose the right materials and components for this bass to make it perfect. I received it in April of this year and is in brand new condition, straight out of the workshop from Redding California (under 4 hours played time). All made in the USA.

The craftsmanship of this instrument is second to none, its a master built bass. As it features a rather large fan (37"-34"), there is an extra flush strap lock on the rear of the bass to help bring the strap position a few inches to the right to alter your left arm's position to a more comfortable one. This custom shop really do make amazing quality instruments.

I also have a custom flight case made for it by Best-In-Case, which I will include for free. It's a beast of a case, extremely well built and insanely strong/protective. It handled the shipping from the US to the UK like a boss, keeping the bass totally safe and secure. Case would be worth around £350 on its own and is one of the best flight cases I've seen.

It sounds like no other bass I've played or tried (including most Dingwalls), its an amazing sounding bass but when it was made, the luthier and I had different ideas on what 'medium weight' is. It's not the heaviest in the world, but I have a damaged shoulder and the weight is more than what I can take. It honestly kills me to sell it, but to have a bass that I can only play sitting down just doesn't sit right for me- plus I couldn't afford to keep it and get another bass for both recording and live use.

The instrument is worth ~£4200 so whoever gets on this is honestly getting a steal.

I have my eye on a lightweight Dingwall with a stripped down version of this (no fancy top or active EQ) which is perfect in weight

Someone's going to ask, so it may as well be me.

What does it weigh ?
it weighs ~10lb mark.

Friends of mine, including my bass teacher, didn't find the weight an issue at all so its not as if its made of stone- I'm just broken :P

Nice... If this were a 6 string and a through neck, We'd be talking
Something that the builder and myself found with this bass is the sustain is extremely good, if not on par with a through neck design. The neck is a deep bolt on with threaded inserts to ensure a very tight connection to the neck pocket, as well as avoiding tearing to the neck if it is removed multiple times. These characteristics seem to create an insane amount of sustain and resonance that you might not expect from a bolt on instrument.
