bubinga5 Posted July 15, 2016 Posted July 15, 2016 (edited) http://www.bassdirect.co.uk/bass_guitar_specialists/Sadowsky_NYC_Jazz_4_Masterbuilt.html This is just wonderful. That instrument must sound killer. Just sayin. Edited July 15, 2016 by bubinga5 Quote
CamdenRob Posted July 16, 2016 Posted July 16, 2016 It'll be awesome... It's a sadowsky... The aesthetics don't do it for me though... I always think natural wood finish fender shapes look a bit odd. Quote
thodrik Posted July 16, 2016 Posted July 16, 2016 (edited) Very nice. Not sure what the 'Masterbuilt' means in the description. A Sadowsky NYC is a Sadowsky NYC. Maybe it means it has the non standard black chrome hardware, ebony fingerboard and the fancy top. I bought a slightly older five string NYC from Bass Direct a couple of months ago and it was approximately a grand cheaper than that, though mine had none of the aforementioned extras and a few more cosmetic 'dings'. Still sounds great though! Edited July 17, 2016 by thodrik Quote
M@23 Posted July 16, 2016 Posted July 16, 2016 Wow, that's lovely. What I'd really like is that fitted case, at a sensible price! Quote
RhysP Posted July 16, 2016 Posted July 16, 2016 For that kind of money I'd at least expect a one piece body on a natural finish instrument. Quote
Sibob Posted July 16, 2016 Posted July 16, 2016 Yet people only moan about Foder pricing lol Looks lovely though! Si Quote
Roland Rock Posted July 16, 2016 Posted July 16, 2016 Paint it and stick a scratchplate on it and you're golden Quote
Kev Posted July 17, 2016 Posted July 17, 2016 Eww. Sure it a nice bass to play but aesthetically not my thing. Agree with other comments, you would expect a once piece body at that price point, unless there is a fundamental reason why it should be two piece (Dingwall's dual density body, for example). Quote

[/quote] I think it's a mistake and is supposed to be 'Mastergrade' which is how Sadowsky describe their top quality woods Quote
stingrayPete1977 Posted July 19, 2016 Posted July 19, 2016 I do wonder if the chambering is why it's not a slab? Quote
Salotti Posted July 19, 2016 Posted July 19, 2016 Fantastic but 3500 pounds will mean somerhing more for me... Quote

I thought it was meant as 'more' from a bass. But yeah, 3.5k would get you a lot more elsewhere! Quote
