Sire V7 Vintage

Sire made a [url="https://youtu.be/yIiyz0Cfvdk"]vintage[/url] version of the V7 jazz bass. Different picks up position, slimmer neck - and don't the head stock look a bit different too?

Got my eye on one of those when available on Thomann. Ash body maple neck 5 stringer to compliment my other one.

Believe they have steel bridge too instead of brass. Should be a brighter tone than the original V7.

I also think they have different pick ups, and the bridge pick up has been moved a bit towards the neck for a warmer/vintage tone

I am actually considering getting one of each, and returning one of the two - keeping the favorite one

I could be wrong, but I think it's the other way as in the bridge pick up is closer to the bridge on the Vintage model.

Looks that way when comparing the models on the website & I think I read that somewhere too.
