Waldo Posted October 2, 2008 Share Posted October 2, 2008 I've got a lined fretless neck from a cheap P-bass that I picked up last year and have replaced with a fretted neck from a Squier. Being completely honest, it came from a cheap bass so it's not the greatest job in the world, some of the fret markers don't quite sit properly (some in too far,some sticking out a tiny bit) but other than that it's fine. Does what you'd expect a fretless to do! This would probably be best suited if you have a P bass that you fancy checking what playing fretless is like on the cheap but probably won't be that great if you're wanting to play fretless seriously.
