Kev Posted July 17, 2016 Posted July 17, 2016 True, but if people are stupid enough to buy it.... He doesn't try to make out its rare, unusual e.t.c. Quote
3below Posted July 18, 2016 Posted July 18, 2016 Same seller has a Rockbass Corvette at an eyewatering BIN price. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Warwick-Corvette-5-string-rock-bass-guitar-/222185740093?hash=item33bb4d573d:g:h8UAAOSwygJXhptN Quote
Roger2611 Posted July 18, 2016 Posted July 18, 2016 It has to be a case of buyer beware, if a potential buyer doesn't check then this chancer makes a big profit, if potential buyers do some simple checks then this chancer has stuff on sale for ever and a day Quote
alyctes Posted July 18, 2016 Author Posted July 18, 2016 (edited) All true, of course. I just hope he doesn't come up with something actually worth buying... (Not that I have anything against the stuff he is selling, but you know what I mean.) Edited July 18, 2016 by alyctes Quote
Painy Posted July 23, 2016 Posted July 23, 2016 There was a Squier VM P5 on eBay recently that was relisted several times for a fair chunk over the new price. Eventually the seller gave up and relisted as an auction starting at 99p. Sold for £180 in the end which is probably about right but given its the kind of price range bass that inexperienced youngsters will often be looking at, someone could easily have been ripped off. [/quote] It seems to be an increasingly popular strategy to list things on a long-running BIN priced over the odds, and just keep re-listing until you find that one person who'll click the Buy button.
