Happy Jack Posted November 24, 2016 Posted November 24, 2016 That was just gorgeous - what an extraordinarily talented lady (& band). Do me a favour will ye? When she announces her 2017 tour dates, give us a heads-up? Quote

[/quote] Find a tutor and be guided by them. For a playable set of Delrin (plastic) pipe expect to pay several hundred pounds, more for wood. Avoid buying cheap pipe via ebay or on-line, you'll get what you pay for which is not very much in terms of a playable instrument. To quote a piping friend of mine "They look nice on the wall". Quote

hubrad Posted November 28, 2016 Posted November 28, 2016 I occasionally get to play with this lass, who is fantastic on Northumbrian and Uillean pipes as well as various other instruments. . http://beckytaylor.info/yorkshirepiper/ireland-bridge-album-sampler/ Quote
DaveFry Posted November 29, 2016 Posted November 29, 2016 My brother knows a piper who hadn't played for many a year . On picking up the pipes again he discovered that he didn't have the puff any more to play so he went to see his doctor to get his breathing checked . It turned out that he was fine and the problem was a leak in the bag part of the pipes ! Quote
