Swung by Andertons today to see what they had in stock...I was looking for a Flea Jazz to try, but no.

Anyhow, tried a Schecter Diamond-J. Holy cow, it was amazingly good and sounded better than anything else they had in stock. Shocked to find it its on sale for £300.

Schecter are absolutely amazing basses for the money, I had one of the diamond p/j's (same as the one rob deleo plays), and I do regret selling it sometimes.
Can't sing their praises enough, unless you are a gear snob (which I have been known to be on occasion) you will not be disappointed.

I think if they did a Diamond J with a rosewood block-inlay board, it woukd be perfection.

It just sounded so damn good.

Agree with everyone here. Bast value/money ever. Just got this one second-hand. Simply cannot believe the punch and the tone of this thing

I managed to track down a 5 string version with a mirror pic guard..really value for money ..though the new models seem to have gone through the roof

Just been on their website , thought I might buy one but nothing close to that price on there now, must have gone.

I don't think I'd ever buy another P/J style again, but the Michael Anthony does look fantastic. [Edit] I wish these reviews would do more pick playing...it's really not all about fingers.
