Hiya all,

Current rig - Streamliner 600 into Neox 212. Sorted for the last few years and no forum trawling needed - powerful, lightweight and nice sounding.

Now I have a new (smaller) car and a new band that *generally* runs a large PA that I DI into.

So, I want a *slightly* smaller cab. I think 2in smaller (front to back) than the Neox will mean it will fit in the boot of the Panda without having the seats down. Boom - childseat bonus.

What are my deal breakers? I need fat bass in the small of my back. I need that fat sound that makes you play lightly, not hammer the strings. Tone, pah, that's the punter's problem :-) Neo speakers are a must too, unless the cab is made from Pink Wafer biscuits...

Regards,

Jim

Weeellll.... The Barefaced Big Twin 2 is 14.6" deep compared to the 16.5" of the Neox... but it's 33.5" tall compared to 31"...

Well, you know, the boot space behind the rear seat when it's fully up. Although having said that, I might be thinking about my Renault Clio (it's been a long ass day)... Maybe 2x10.... :-) I will have to measure up properly - hang on...

Just been out and had a look. I reckon I need to lose 4" off the depth... It's looking like a 2x10 I think - I dont know why anyone would try make a really small 2x12 with what we know nowadays about cab design?

Well I'll just leave this here... http://barefacedbass...retro-two10.htm
But even this may still be too deep. And it may not suit you sound-wise. I have one myself, I like it a lot.

Too deep I think. Like I said, for an optimal cab size for a 2x12 it would look silly if it was as slim as I need - I can understand why there aren't any...

Are there any chunky 1x15's about these days? Cab on one side of the back seat, kiddy seat on the other? :-)

Can't think of any 15"s that are significantly louder than this and it'll definitely fit: http://barefacedbass.com/product-range/Super-Compact.htm
