Dealing with Hearing Loss and Tinnitus

Hey all!

I recently recorded a vlog where I discuss my experiences with hearing loss, tinnitus and how to deal with tinnitus. I included a temporary solution to tinnitus in the video which may help some.

It's a bit of a ramble but it has some info about hearing protection, IEMS and coping strategies.

I hope it helps others in some way or another as my hearing damage is something I wish I could change if I had the chance.

If anyone has any feedback, personal anecdotes or useful tips and tricks please feel free to post them here. As musicians we need to protect our ears and I feel that this is a very important topic of conversation

My biggest piece of advice to anyone starting playing is to look after your ears, they're the only ones your ever going to get.

Ah, the benefit of hindsight.

(70dB loss in one ear & 45dB in the other, but I AM 72 and started playing in the fifties)
