tayste_2000
In my defence I'm only using 6 actually effects live The rest are for recording, jam sessions and some are collectable and vintage. I got Fuzz, Filter, Phaser, Distortion/OD, Boost and a Noise Box The other pedals are switchers and a Tuner, 1 allowing me to blend my effects with my clean signal while also buffering my signal so active basses work with my fuzz and the other allows me to switch basses and amps in seconds so I can Bi amp or if I break a string etc etc. I can justify all of them some only get used on 1 or 2 songs but the fuzz and boost are used on all the songs and now I Bi-Amp I pretty much just leave the fuzz on and switch it to distortion when I swap from playing with a pick to fingers due to the volume and clarity difference I use the Dist as it's slightly clearer and set it just a touch louder than the fuzz so my sound is very even regardless of how the song is played. Muse_Cubed
As a tip I would recomend putting the deep impact at the front and the DHA behind it due to the height of the dha it will be difficult for you to get at the Deep Impact but if they are the other way round both will be accessible. Also I presume the multi comp doesn't get turned off so maybe stick that under the shelf? and place your blowtorch behind the whammy as it looks impossible to get to where you have it now unless you have that on at all times as well. Just some friendly pointers take em or leave em after all what do I know Good board btw
Well, my A Loop will consist of DHA -> Deep Impact -> Blowtorch. Mostly it's a more specialist loop which I set up before playing a song so accessibility isn't really a bit deal (apart from the DHA). So I'm alright with the positioning as it is (I also have been blessed/cursed with size 12 feet and good balance) but I'll adjust it if anything needs to be done. Did you make the board yourself - I notice the power supplies must be underneath the pedals at the top. What do you think of the bbe opto stomp - I'm toying with getting one but they don't seem that many around compared to say aphex, ebs etc. Cheers John

As for the Opto Stomp, I took a bit of a chance on it as I just wanted a simple but effective compressor. It is exactly that, set it and forget it. It's the kinda compressor that you'll only notice when it's not there, if that makes sense. I really like it a lot.
ZPQ
Gator - I'll have a look for them, it's look like a neat way of doing it (although maybe a bit bigger than I need). The opto stomp might be on the shopping if I don't find a multicomp in the next week or so. Cheers John

Otherwise the bass balls is just boring.

And you know distortion/fuzz takes away your dynamics, so, you must have a pretty constant sound coming out of the q-tron? Still, I have got some nice sounds with fuzz before my bass balls, but, it's kind of insulting the bass balls, not letting it do what it was made to do! Higgie
Kev, that's because both the Q-Tron and Big Muff are sh*te. I'm not a big fan of either of them. Running the Brown Dog into the 00Funk is no different from running any other fuzz into any other filter. It's always given me some synthy Sir Psycho sounds. (Holy cow, that's some aliteration!) The basic combination for synth sounds as most people would agree is, octaver->fuzz->filter. Take out the octaver, you've still got the majority of factors for synth sounds. Previous combinations i've used are: Boss ODB-3 and Q-Tron Prunes and Custard and Maxon AF-9 Tonefactor Hellbaby and Maxon AF-9 Chunk Brown Dog and Chunk 00Funk Prunes and Custard and 00Funk Edited September 3, 2007 by Higgie

cheddatom
you should put the big muff after the q-tron, then use the rat, q-tron and muff all at the same time!

Ant
it's ace, i mainly use it for looping (as i have two other delays), but sometimes i use it for ridiculously long delays - i've compared the looper to the DL4 and this sounds much nicer, to my ears the looped phrases on the DL4 lost some 'oomph' and quality.
