Here are the latest incarnations of my two boards. I'm still hankering after a Vintage Microtubes for the big board, and the Mooer on the small board isn't doing it for me, so that'll be swapped for something else soon.

I had the green mile, though it was absolutely crap.
The bb preamp took its place

Too right, it's awful. Even using some dry blend doesn't help.

Wow, some serious pedal boards here.....

Here's my few bits and pieces (listed in my signature below). Thinking of replacing ODB3 and Bass Driver DI with single Bass Driver Deluxe, probably don't need a noise suppressor either (hang over from guitar playing days).

Really chuffed with my 1st Cog pedal, certainly there will be more to come! Also, new Lava Tightrope cables, great system! Can finally fit all the pedals I wanted in this board!

Made a couple of changes this weekend; changed out some dirt in the lower left corner (Solid Gold FX
is new, Cusack Screamer Bass replaced a Wampler Euphoria in the Wonderlove loop) and swapped
places on the Suhr Buffer (now first) and [sfx] Micro Thumpinator (now last).

How is the solid gold overdrive, seen it a few times on the bay and dig the design.
What sort of circuit is it, if you know?

No, I don't know anything about the circuit. Soundwise, it's a quite "polite" overdrive for lack of better words, touch sensitive, has a bit of low end boost but doesn't muddy the sound. Gives the sound a fatter character without being too obviously distorted if that makes sense. I haven't tried it with the band yet, but I think there are a couple of ballsier blues numbers where it should fit.

Here's my board presently, and I cant see it changing for a while to be honest - I love it! Its monstrous live and really fattens up our 3 piece!! Very happy with the Grand Tarkin, which is unmoded but has a bit of extra heft added!! :D

And a night time shot:

I'll try and snap better pictures soon!!

Good description of the Beta, I find it to be the only overdrive I've used that can handle a really hot signal going in (like a Ray4 with the bass knob whacked up full) without overloading and farting out. Great pedal for blues / R&B.

I've been thinking of picking up the Cusack Screamer also, what's your take on that one?

What's the micro mutron like for bass? Was never able to find any clips for it, other than for guitar...

Don't see many P&C clones around. Is it from Poodle's Pedal Parts?

A good pedal too, a bit more versatile since it has three different clipping modes, though I have only really used the middle position which is the least compressed. The three pedals I have are all nice for low gain sounds, they all have a "fine-grained" drive character (as opposed to some crackling or breaking glass type metal dist), the Beta is the darkest voiced, the VMT more high mids and the Screamer somewhere inbetween them. I like the Beta the best because it doesn't change the mids as much as the others, and I like the responsiveness.

Just finished this, my first board:

It's more of a practical 'gather all my floor stuff in one place' board, than a vast array of freaky sounds. I'm not an effects whiz. There is space for an additional pedal in the top right corner, when I can think of something I might use.

There's a build thread in the 'Build Thread' thread. The board casing is Walnut, oiled and waxed. The lid is 12mm ply, and the base is MDF.

thank you please
