nilorius Posted Friday at 17:45 Posted Friday at 17:45 What do you think about MXR M288 Bass Octave comparing with MXR VINTAGE BASS OCTAVE and Aguilar Octamizer Analog Bass Octave Pedal ? Quote
jimbobothy Posted Friday at 18:08 Posted Friday at 18:08 … the Octamizer can go from very subby to pretty synth and all in between. Nice to have a tone for the dry mix as well. The MXR Bass Octave Deluxe isn’t as extreme as the Octamizer I think, but has the nice variants between the girth and growl settings. Neither are OC2 clones, they do their own thing (but well). The Vintage Bass Octave is a clone of Janek Gwizdala’s early OC2 Octaver (if you didn’t already know) so is a great OC2 clone with the addition of more consistent volume and the mid boost (that is only on the dry signal). Really depends on what you’re after Octave pedal wise I suppose. 1 Quote

tayste_2000 Posted Friday at 23:52 Posted Friday at 23:52 If you want the oc2 sound on the cheap I highly recommend the Sonicake Octaver 2 Quote

Yeh I second this re: the Octamizer, it doesn’t really do OC2 but what it does do is its own distinct versions of it really I’ve just got this amazingly useful octave from Fteletronica in Italy, it’s a super subtle octave that just thickens things up for solos/choruses etc - so useful live! I had been using the Octamizer to do this, but this Sub Octave does the job perfectly - tracks all the way down to Low D on a 5 as well! (Apologies for the crappy photo). Highly recommend 4 Quote
glassmoon Posted Saturday at 09:51 Posted Saturday at 09:51 Damn, just watched a Bass the World YewChoob clip of the Fteletronica sub octave. I gotta get me one of these!! 1 Quote
Salt on your Bass? Posted Saturday at 15:47 Posted Saturday at 15:47 Added the Cog effects Hellraiser to my main board. It's a wicked drive, but I also love the megalith and MBD3 it's replaced....I think they'll end up on the small board....but I also have a pork and pickle inbound as well.... 4 Quote

It’s really useful, you could almost leave it on all the time, but then it loses its effect at accenting (if that’s the right word), but it’s seriously good, I’m still gonna run a 2nd octave for the more standard octave sounds as well 1 Quote
MrDinsdale Posted Sunday at 08:07 Posted Sunday at 08:07 Apologies for the picture quality! I've been meaning to try the ipad with the QC for a while as somewhat portable recording set up, handy now I can't use my work laptop for logic any more. First time I've tried Logic on the ipad but pretty impressed at how easy it was to jump into. I didn't feel particularly restricted compared to the full desktop version. Just need a way to mount an ipad stand to the back of my board and then I'm sorted 🙌 5 Quote

HoorayForAnonyms Posted Sunday at 20:05 Posted Sunday at 20:05 Apologies in advance for the messy cabling but a recent house move has meant I now have space for a more permanent home pedal set-up. I feel very fortunate. 16 Quote

terocious Posted Monday at 08:26 Posted Monday at 08:26 Here is mine. Element is for silent practice at home only. Board is Mono lite, powered by Cioks DC7 (attached at the bottom of the board). Modele B has been on and off the board for years, some days I dig it, some days not so much, but it never sound bad though. It plays quite nice along with VMT. 11 Quote

It sure can, but it's quite unique kind of a dirt and not suitable for all occasions. At least for my taste. It's great piece of device but it's not transparent. 1 Quote
thisisswanbon Posted Monday at 11:29 Posted Monday at 11:29 I've had to remove the rattler from my board as I need the ultrawave (not pictured) for a song or two on occasion. I hugely miss it, and the ultrawave/hx one doesn't have anything that comes close to it... any one have any suggestions on a board between this (nano+) and the nano max where I'd get the rattler back on? (Ideally a small tuner, too) 2 Quote
