Unfortunately the the latency was massive so, either the shop had a duff pedal of there was an issue due to them not using the right power supply in the store (too little juice). [/quote] Yeah. I assumed I was either unlucky, or the 1st batch had some quality control issues. The one I tried int he shop was perfect. After have 2 bad ones from the stock room, I just asked for the one I'd tried on display! Lol. It's tracking is lovely and it tracks 4 and 6 string chords as well. I was told it wouldn't cut top end like the Whammy IV does, but unfortunately it does - I run mine after my fuzz and distortion pedals. (which add lots off top end harmonic content). Ant Posted October 23, 2011 Share Posted October 23, 2011 Cranetortoise DD-1b bass distortion, i have two of them because theyre awesome, and the other is a Dollface OD by hello sailor effects, picked it up here, i set the dollface fairly clean but with lots of volume to push the cranetortoise a bit futher, id use both my DD-1B's for this if i could squeeze the second one on. Ant Posted October 27, 2011 Share Posted October 27, 2011 I got rid of the mothership, as even though the octave on it sounds much bigger than the super synth, the oscillator tuning is done via knobs which always ended up shifting during gigs because of all the jumping about we do, so it would often go slightly out of tune with my bass signal, it's an awesome piece of kit though, I've got two of them! Pigtronix are sweet!! I only had the cranetortoise off my board for a handful of gigs to have a test run of something else, it had to go back on because it's definitely part of my sound now Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I'm probably going to be very conservative and go for a SFX Thumpinator and maybe some sort of synth pedal. But the `Qtron Mod first. Here it is in all it's beauty, fully up an running (just need 1 more adapter from GigRig to get the Cluster Flux on the same supply). I'm now running wireless as well so there are only 3 cables leaving the board at any point. Lead to the amp, power for the board & a midi cable for the tempo on my tremolo. I've also gone wireless IEM for my metronome feed meaning no cables running to me and that's made it SOOOOOOOOO much easier to move around and tweak stuff... The changes are very slight though, and for me, no worry as I don't use a clean bass tone EVER, plus the EQ I use on the amp is extreme (big boost of 50hz).
