I have no quality recording and we're still composing/finalizing tracks but if I have any day I'll let you know...

I like the multicomp as an always on pedal, it doesn't color the sound much IMO with a light compression setting, even in tubesim mode which I use and find the best (my settings : comp/limit : 11 ; gain : 9 or 10 ; active bass switch position ; tubesim mode). The compressor is mandatory to me before the bass Whammy (and octaver) for a better tracking.
I must admit I would like to compare to others like the MXR bass compressor pedal or even a rack like DBX 160 or something but I'm quite happy with it till now.

Compressors have always been the hardest for me to understand!
I'd like to hear that music though, so whenever you get some recordings done.. :D

Listening to Tool made me fall in love with whammy, flanger & delay that's a fact cause combinations of these are pure genius to me but buying/trading effects I found my own sound and combinations with these on my board to compose with my band and rejected some as CE-5 chorus or Guyatone BR-2 effects which I don't really like nor fit in my band.

I have a CE-5 myself and I find it's a little bit too subtle for my taste.

The CE-2 has a couple of trim pots inside (accessible by taking the baseplate off), one of which adjusts the "Depth". Does the CE-5 not have something similar?

You may want to have a look at THIS. Best thing I've ever seen on compressors.

This is awesome, thanks. Usually, everyone just links to Onvilab, which is a little helpful, but still hard for me to understand..

I have a notorious history of not checking the insides of pedals for trim pots, but I'll check out this afternoon. Thanks for the suggestion!

The Grey Stache is cool, different beast to the Oxide. Both have their charms and uses! Not used the GS live yet though, so the second board will probably stay like this. Although I did just rig it up as Octamizer>Oxide>Subdecay Prometheus>Quasar DLX which is quite cool. Looks like I'm gonna need another Nano ;)

sell the korg then get the polytune mini, problem solved. :-p
Nice idea but when you take into account the Pitch Black has it's jacks on the side, and the rest of the pedals on the board have top mounted jacks, it doesn't actually save any space! Plus mine has blue LEDs so it improves the tone drastically - Even if it is on the Tuner Out of my Sadowsky Pre-Amp ;)

Mini poll/vote thingy

1: Line6 Relay G50 - TC E Polytune Mini - Tech 21 VT Bass - Mooer Pure Octave, all on a Pedaltrain Nano

OR

2: Line6 Relay G50 - TC E Polytune Mini - Tech 21 VT Bass with a Mooer Pure Octave in the effects loop, all on a Pedaltrain Mini

It's mainly a debate of do i need 6 presets or not, and where else could i use that extra £100+ that i'd save by not getting the deluxe.
