EskimoBassist
It's more of a practical 'gather all my floor stuff in one place' board, than a vast array of freaky sounds.
If only we could all approach effects like that! I used to have so many silly pedals which were rarely used in songs...but they were lots of fun and I did have space for them. I think I just don't like octave as an effect, I think it sounds crap.

Guest FretNoMore
Which ones have you tried? I have no tracking problems with the MXR octaver, and as to how octavers sound, well that's just a personal taste thing.
danny-79
Quite happy with this now, gonna leave it as it is (for now)

The longer they were present the more I felt they were garish and on some dark stages they made it more difficult to see my settings. GazWills
dude - my OCD would have led to me painting that micro thumpinator black by now one change - though I'm not going to jinx it and say the delay quest is over, I'm loving the EQD
Left Foot
Disaster Transport Jnr ay? You prefer that to the dispatch master?
GazWills
Disaster Transport Jnr ay? You prefer that to the dispatch master?
yeah - the dispatch master sounded great, but the delay was just far too quiet, plus it doesn't oscillate, and also the delay time is waaay longer than I need, so it was hard to set it to shorter times consistently. I'm still tempted to get another one instead of a dedicated reverb to add to the board after the disaster transport jr, but as a dedicated delay (which is what I want) the dispatch master wasn't the right pedal... Left Foot
True, I like your old DM for those reasons though, its really clean sounding. Before I got yours Gaz I had an old version DT going into a Ghost Echo and that WAS great however the DM does it but cleaner. EDQ put a lot of atmosphere (other sound) into their pedals. That melkko's on the board now I see.
mikebass84
This is my new pedal set up. Yet to be gigged with but works well in practice. The zoom is rreally just for eq and preamp

A lot of dirt pedals can completely mask the sound of a wah, but wah into the ODB-3 kills. I don't like fuzz into wah as it sounds too synthy for me, but a light overdrive gives the wah more work with. I don't have a board set up right now, but am finding I like the SFT and Beta going into the wah, and the VT / ODB-3 / Speaker Cranker after it. dannybuoy
I'm sure Max would be able to print you out a custom label if you asked him nicely! Better still, hide it under the board and you have room for another pedal!
It's very nice. I've got a Hardwire Supernatural as well, but the Fender one just sounds better for bass. Difficult to describe, but it seems to enhance the original sound rather than being an actual effect. Particularly nice on chord work and fretless.
