I've a lot of time for both MXR and EHX, and have owned a couple of their pedals (Octave deluxe, auto Q and the Analogizer), but.. they just don't 'work' with my combination of Basses, pre's and amps. And that's the real trick with this pedals and effects thing, spending the time, energy and the £££ to find out what 'works' well with what - and sounds good to you. Painy Posted September 24, 2015 Share Posted September 24, 2015 I think I'm now pretty much there with my board(s). 3 months ago my pedals consisted of a volume pedal and a tuner so I've built this up pretty quickly but it now covers pretty much everything I need it to effects wise. The smaller board is effectively my main preamp going straight into the power amp in section of my amp as the preamp section in the head is dead. Empty spot is for the B3K (I sold mine.. idiot.. and have had to replace it. Now on the board). The 3 COG pedals are Custom versions of a TK421X, A Grand Tarking and T65.
