The Notaklon will likely be soon replaced by a 4th DIY pedal in a 1590B enclosure, a 3-band Rat. I built one for friend and I like it SO much better than the Klon clone! I am also a "compressor goes last" offender. The multiband BC-1X just cleans up the various digital volume swings from the C4, the envelope and the Tera Echo so nicely. Yeahh....cool !!! Quote
ped Posted Friday at 16:18 Posted Friday at 16:18 No changes to my board for a while now (OK I turned the tuner around), except I occasionally 'guest' a pedal in the Meatball loop. Do you all like my massive Tubescreamer pillow? 😆 9 4 Quote
dudewheresmybass Posted Friday at 16:20 Author Posted Friday at 16:20 The cushion looks awesome Ped, but does it have the traditional mid bump? 5 Quote

Bagman Posted yesterday at 00:04 Posted yesterday at 00:04 dipped into cliche yesterday recording session - fretless Stingray 2EQ with the Free The Tone Chorus. it's actually quite lovely in strict moderation 1 Quote
Rolf Posted yesterday at 04:42 Posted yesterday at 04:42 New board, still a work in prgress and may need a little rearranging. Trying out the DemonFX Alpha Omicron, it sounds really good. 3 Quote

It’s great, it’s Muff-based but it’s far better than original Big Muffs IMO. It doesn’t scoop out the mids, it keeps the low end and there’s loads of gain available. Fuzzy grind with definition. I used it on guitar for years and just kept it on my board when I went back to playing bass, and it’s just as good now. 1 Quote

Sean Posted 17 hours ago Posted 17 hours ago (edited) I did this today. After fitting the LHZ to the still nameless maple board Euro 4LX. I've decided that for the covers project I need my comfort-zone analogue boxes. I don't really need much and this does it all and more. A quick run-through: 1. The SFX Microthumpinator is essential (it's like an air fryer. How people live without them, I have no idea). 2. The GK Plex is my favourite pedal/box/effect/DI ever. 3. The TC Chorus just uses the Duff TonePrint, I don't need anything else. 4. The MXR filter (3rd time I've had one of these) is used on 2 songs. 5. The Made by Mike (London Era) ZVEX Woolly Mammoth clone, that I've had forever, is there in case I need to use this rig for the originals band. Other: It's all sitting on a Pedaltrain Metro 16. Power is from a T-Rex Chameleon and the buttons are Orange, Vimto, Vodka, Strawberry and Lime. Tuner? It's in the Plex. Compressor? See above. Overdrive? See above. Amp sims? Guess. USB Interface? That too. Emergency Backup DI? Plex again, folks. Headphone amp? Ole Bob G thought of that too. Space inside for your stash? Damn right. Edited 16 hours ago by Sean 3 Quote

Amp sim’s sound massive and completely realistic & give you a great sound flat, but then the EQ options and contour switches can really add some flavour - I expect to see more love for the Plex, it’s great! (Altho the £519 price tag at Bass Direct is a bit wild 😕 but looking at other stuff out there for £300+ it’s worth the money!) Edited 11 hours ago by Paddy777 Quote
