Bass to borrow Helston / Falmouth

We set off on hols yesterday with the big car all loaded up including bass. Got precisely no miles before a nasty clunk became obvious (from the car, I should maje that clear). Popped to the local garage and he warned against taking it (knackered pulley = good chance of total failure) so we went home and repacked into the wife's small car, but the bass wouldn't realistically fit in.

I've been practicing pretty hard recently and I was looking forward to getting some hours in. Just wondering if anyone very near Helston has a spare bass I could borrow or rent for a week? Just has to have strings really

One if those long shot but worth asking things, you never know, if I didn't ask it'd turn out there was a basschatter next door to where I'm staying and I'd find out 10 mins before setting off home again.
