[color=#282828][font=helvetica, arial, sans-serif]As part of a major clear out, here we have my:- [/font][/color]

[color=#282828][font=helvetica, arial, sans-serif][b][u]1977-78 Fullerton Fender Telecaster with added double Jazz pickup [/u][/b][/font][/color]

[color=#282828][font=helvetica, arial, sans-serif]S701203 USA Fender Telecaster refinished (I think) in red with 3 bolt neck and maple fingerboard. Weight is 10lbs.[/font][/color]

[font=helvetica, arial, sans-serif][color=#282828]As far as I am aware, red was not a fender colour for the Telecaster basses of this era, so my guess is it has been refinished at some point, although the refinish is showing some cracking with age. There are several cracks in the paint running horizontally along the body on both the front and back of the bass. Other than that, the bass is in very good condition for a bass of its age with minimal knocks or scratches. [/color][/font]

Previously a single coil jazz pickup had been added to the bass, but this was no match for the mighty neck hum bucker. i took the bass to [url="http://www.simscustom.com/html/home.htm"]Martin Sims[/url] for a re-fret, and whilst there I asked him to route a hole for a double jazz hum bucker wound using [color=#6A6A6A][font=arial, sans-serif][b]Formvar[/b][/font][/color] wire by [url="http://www.armstrongpickups.co.uk"]Aaron Armstrong[/url]. The double jazz is a fantastic pickup and matches the neck pickup better than its predecessor.

The controls are wired Vol / Vol / Tone, with three way mini toggle switches - Single Coil / Series / Parallel - for each pickup giving an extended versatility to this bass.
