JJW
Recently, I decided to make a bass guitar for my favourite band called CREEPER. I really enjoy building guitars and wanted to make one for the bassist as I really enjoy the music. I built it in my school workshops after school and in my spare time around my GCSE’s. It took me about one and a half months. I have got pictures of it in various stages. I gave it to him when it was finished at Camden Rocks festival, he’s a really great guy and it was great meeting him. W1_Pro
Thats amazing. Well done! Really like that design you put on the headstock and the neck plate. What is that thing you did it with?
JJW
I traced over the band logo with a 2D design software, then transfered the file to a laser cutter.

Mykesbass
Great build. Nice shape headstock too - always amazes me how many brands seem to fail in this department!!

PlungerModerno
Very nice - knowing it was built in just a few weeks - including finishing, is quite impressive. I can see the neck is some very pretty ash - how did you handle the grain before finishing? Did you fill it or go with a spray on sanding sealer? Also is it a heavy body? the wood looks like a mahogany or similar "exotic" wood.
JJW
Originally I lacquered the neck with a spray, it was quite thick, then I wet sanded it down to smooth it out but I wasn't happy with the size of the neck so I sanded it all down and reshaped it. To refinish the neck this time I applied Danish oil with a 1200 grit sand paper, which worked well to grain fill. The body is mahogany and thicker than a normal p bass, so it is quite heavy.
