Moment of panic! (and another fuse question).

After spending some time yesterday playing about with my full gigging rig (pedal board and all) set up in the kitchen, I un-plugged the lead out of the input side of the pedals and took my bass through to the hall to put it in its case - stupidly leaving everything switched on. My 3 year old girl seemingly managed to sneak into the kitchen without me noticing, turn up the input gain on the amp to full, turn up the volume fully on my Big Muff and turn it on. Not sure what happened exactly but all I heard was a high pitched squeal and a quiet pop. Checked the amp and the pre-amp section was working fine (or at least the clip light was showing signal going in) but no sound.
Opened the head and as expected both internal fuses for the power amp section were blown.
Now replaced and amp sounding as it should again BUT the fuses were 7A and I only had 8A fuses. Is this likely to cause an issue? I've ordered some 7A fuses but not sure they'lol be here before my gig on Saturday so just looking for some reassurance that I won't cook my amp properly if I use it at the weekend.

Normally I'd say fuses blow for a reason and therefore get it looked at and have that reason determined but in this instance you know what caused it...and that should be entirely avoidable easily enough...certainly in the short term

I'd run the bass and amp for a LONG time to ensure the amp can work for you on the next gig.
Might take a spare as well...just in case.

I have a very large box of fuses in my gig bag and I'd always want to put the same spec in...
But this wasn't a failure as such so I think short term the 8amp will be ok...

The risk is that some damage 'may' be there so another spare amp negates that... and if it does blow up, then suck up the cost as these things happen. At least it will have then been given a clean bill of health by a good amp tech.

That would be my plan and thinking...

.. and maybe consider getting your little girl's hearing checked..?

Just checked it - still as selective as ever!
More seriously though, while high pitched it wasn't loud fortunately.
