Jeff Beck's Loud Hailer is amazing

Wow, is anyone else listening to this album. I regularly listen to new music from all sorts of genres and this really shines on so many levels. The musicianship and production are awesome, the lyrics and vocal are outstanding and it rocks. There are loads of highs and lows along with musical surprises. Here are a couple of tracks.

I'm not a big JB fan, but I quite like it. The Bill Oddie connection is the icing on the cake.

Thanks for that Pinball - always rated him highly but hadn't heard anything from Loud Hailer. My vinyl copy of Truth (Jeff Beck Band with Rod Stewart on vocals) still gets a regular play.

The last one I bought was Wired in the lat 70's
Some of the best tracks aren't on Youtube but as a body of work it's spot on and very sharp all round. It's the best I've heard from him. I'm not into guitar hero's as a rule.

[/quote]They certainly are that! I like the way that he's always just got on and done his own thing. In his later years, he seems to have developed the happy knack of surrounding himself with hugely talented female musicians (lucky bugger).

Yep our guitar player put me on to it to listen too in a week when I had to do a lot of travelling. I liked it on first listen and then liked it more on each subsequent listen. "Modern and valid" is a good description,
