lownote
Hi y'all I have Fender Rumble v2 112 cabs with tweeter switches which have 3 settings: full/off and -6db. What exactly do these settings do to the sound, especially the -6db setting? Tnx Edited August 7, 2016 by lownote12
BassBunny
I guess it's the "6db" setting that is puzzling as "Off" and "Full" are pretty self explanatory. If you look at a lot of cabs with a tweeter they have a rotary conrol that you can use to dial in how much tweeter you want in your sound. The control will range from Off to Full and anything in between. The switch on the Fender is similar but instead of there being an infinate amount of adjustment they have saved money by replacing the rotary control with a 3 position switch and the "6db" setting reduces the tweeter output by 6db from full on. lownote
Ah, ta. I'm a bit thick and couldn't work out how they could switch out 6db less than off. Edited August 7, 2016 by lownote12
bonzodog
I use two of these and after playing around with them for a while i found the -6db setting the most pleasing to my ears
