These are such good basses, I have stripped the finish off mine and redone it in a butterscotch colour I have done a few upgrades but the basic woodwork remains original, it is light, sounds great, plays brilliantly and out performs most of my other basses, it does more gigs than any of my other basses.

If you have been thinking about one of these, go for it, you wont regret it, I think they are that good
