Shockwave
Hello all Currently I have a telecaster copy which has a very wide neck with wide spacing. I also have a Silvertone Paul stanley signature model. (Les paul alike) which has a much thinner neck and shorter scale. The neck is far too narrow to be comfortable for me (bass players sausage hands) So I am looking to offload the Silvertone and purchase a set neck humbucker equipped guitar second hand that is a suitable width. Any suggestions?
Musicman20
I could be wrong but the Gibson 2015 models all had, I think, wider necks? You could look at the blow out sales for a lower model?
Shockwave
Well the entire Telecaster nut is 42/43mm. The Silvertones is more like 40/41mm. Thought the tele was wider! However it does help with the range of guitars I could use!
RhysP
I saw an ad for an electric guitar the other day that had classical guitar neck width & string spacing. Can't remember what it was though. Sorry, that's not much help, is it?
EliasMooseblaster
How about a Vintage VS6? It's an SG copy (set neck), and nowadays they come with Wilkinson humbuckers which are very good for the money. Just popped a ruler against the nut on mine and it looks to be about 43mm.
