Higher Ground, the chilli peppers version, people who dont play bass seem to like the slappy stuff as being clever also as mind mind tends to go blank and thats the only thing i can remember on the spot

Does anyone else go completely blank when asked to play 'something'?
I have that brief second of feeling like I've never even seen the instrument before.

In a band situation I'm completely different though.

Anything that comes to mind.... I have a few stock little trills that I can rattle off depending how inspired/bothered I can be.

I'll have a sense of that the 'audience' might expect but it will be short and sweet.

And anyway Ken Dodd is much funnier than my bass playing.

Due to my wife's hatred of my guitars if anyone came round our house they wouldn't know I played guitar. All locked away 🙁
