artisan Posted October 4, 2008 Posted October 4, 2008 as i couldn't sell this bass i decided to keep it & bling it up a tad & string it with my favourite strings (EB group IV flats = yummy). all hardware came from W.D. music appart from the string tree(ebay) & the s' plate (fender) sorry about the sh*te photos i think my camera is buggered. i'm well impressed with the bridge(Gotoh 201) & the tuners (Gotoh reverse units) much better quality than standard Fender stuff (even MIA stuff). all in all it cost me just under £200 & i think it was well worth it + it's had a perfect setup (by yours truly) & plays absolutley beautiful.infact one of the best playing P basses i've ever owned. it's a keeper now i reckon. gary mac Posted October 4, 2008 Posted October 4, 2008 Agreed, it's certainly a keeper now. Extremely lovely. Quote
OutToPlayJazz Posted October 4, 2008 Posted October 4, 2008 (edited) That looks really great! I'm planning something similar with my Mexican Precision, but it's going to be more sound-based than cosmetic. I particularly like the tuners with the longer shafts. Very 70's look about those Edited October 4, 2008 by OutToPlayJazz Quote
