wateroftyne
Hey gang I thought I'd dip my toe into the murky world of being a YouTube (whatever that means). Here's my first attempt of an occasional series - a review of my Maruszczyk Jakes. (YouTube's being a bit funny at the mo, and I'm not sure the embedded video below will display. If not, here's the link) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jq64dgNIrD8
tredders
I really enjoyed that - thanks for sharing the link. Those Maruszczyk (I now know how to pronounce that after your video!) basses look and sound great for not a lot of money. I keep looking at their website and hesitating for no good reason. I think your video may push me over the edge!
Highfox
Nice informative video. Handy for anyone out there looking to get one of these.

PlungerModerno
10 week turnaround is fast, especially for something with a custom neck profile. Some real nice basses - and some very to the point demoing. Thanks for sharing. P.S. I should clarify the comment "very to the point demoing" I mean you're keeping it focused while remaining fairly casual/natural on camera. Good work. Got to say the 'burst pickups are more my thing - they sound glorious. Here's a link to what I think they might be: These From Here Edited August 17, 2016 by PlungerModerno

Marsik
Thanks, everyone. Ha! I'm willing to be corrected - where am I going wrong? :-)
You're not going wrong, actually. In Polish language the 'r', 'sz' and 'cz' are just stronger pronounced. Your 'y' sounds more like Polish 'e' to my ears - you pronounced the schwa (phonetics) I think However, you pronounce it very well! I don't pick on you, I just like languages and phonetics Edited August 17, 2016 by Marsik
Danuman
Good god. I didn't need to see that, I really didn't. The blue/green one is absolutely stunning. Just gimme one of those with the same specs as the sunburst and I'm done with GAS. Honestly. Well, you know. Congrats with both of 'em. Good job on the video! xroads
The sound in the video brings out the character of the basses very nicely - how did you record this? Using a mic or direct via DI?

If I were to take out the bits where I repeat myself, it'd probably be 2 minutes long. :-)

sratas
Hi wateroftyne, glad to see you in person and thanks for the review. Yesterday, after watching your vid, I wrote down a Word document containing the specifications for my future Jake. It has been a while from my first interest in Maruszczyk, but now I feel I'm ready to have one. I have to wait until some funds become available, but the purchase is now decided and I will buy in a few months, hope Adrian can satisfy my custom but common needs...
